Psychology, psychoeducation and occupational therapy in mental health
The Centre's primary professionals are all mental health practitioners. Psychologists conduct assessments and provide psychotherapy. Mental health occupational therapy aims to help clients achieve an optimal level of independent functioning within the community. It seeks to facilitate the recovery or development of the cognitive and social functions necessary for a fulfilling daily life. A psychoeducational approach provides patients with the knowledge, skills, and resources to manage their mental health challenges. It can improve self-awareness, problem-solving, and coping skills.
